Ya know, sometimes we all need some time "off" in order to keep the creative juices flowing! If you're like me, you can think of a bazillion excuses why you can't take the time off. Now, when I say "take time off" I don't mean time away from your craft, in order to get caught up on stuff around the house. (i.e. laundry, yardwork, paying bills, etc.) But, I think that this is what many of us tend to do...am I right? No, I mean really take time away from everything that distracts you and keeps you from connecting with your creative soul. Take time to daydream and just "Be"! Spend some time in Nature....
Right now, I feel like I've got soooo many things going on, but I forced myself to go camping this weekend. No computer and VERY poor phone reception (like standing on the picnic table, holding the phone up in the air to get 1 measly little bar kind of reception). It was just 24 hours, but so worth it. Sitting by the lake with a book, napping off and on, staring at the campfire lost in thought, observing the companion colors in nature....ya get my drift?
Well, here's the result! My head is clear this morning. I am motivated to get things done, and I have lots of creative ideas ready to pour forth. So, the next time you feel like you just don't have the time... do yourself a favor and do it anyway, and just see what happens.
Until next time....
